Northern Summits focuses on the Google AdWords platform. AdWords is Google's online advertising program that lets users reach a new audience and grow their organization. With AdWords, organizations choose where their ads appear, set a manageable budget and measure the impact of the ads.
With Google AdWords, we can reach people as they search for words or phrases (which we call keywords) or browse websites with themes related to the organization. The ads can appear on Google and its partner websites. With cost-per-click (CPC) bidding, organizations are charged only when someone clicks the ad.
Nearly all 501(c)(3) organizations are eligible for an advertising grant through Google's AdGrant program which currently offers non-profits an initial AdWords budget of $10K per month.
If the organization demonstrates sustained and full utilization of the initial $10K monthly budget and is in good standing with the AdGrant program, they are eligible to participate in the Google GrantsPro program which offers an increased AdWords budget of $40K per month - nearly half a million dollars per year.
